Tarzana

Tarzana, CA Real Estate

In it’s earliest beginnings, Tarzana was a part of the San Fernando Mission established in 1797 by Spanish settlers and missionaries. Today it’s a residential community located on the site of a former ranch owned by real estate investor and noteworthy author Edgar Rice Burroughs, whose storybook jungle character hero, Tarzan, inspired the naming of the town itself.

Real Estate.   

The scenery that is associated with Tarzana’s past—rustic, wide open spaces, berry farms, sprawling ranches—helped to set the precedent for the beautiful, ranch-style homes that are frequently encountered today. The town’s real estate landscape consists mainly of single family homes and a handful of condos and townhouses. Leichman High School, Granada Hills Charter High School and El Camino Real Charter High School.

Transportation.   

Running directly above the northern top of Tarzana is the 101 Freeway, providing convenient access to some of L.A.’s busiest metropolitan centers along the commercial artery of Ventura Boulevard.  

Local Attractions.
